It’s going to be busy !!!!
We plan to bring smiles back to Glossop and support our High st. And that means lots of lovely visitors and people on 27th, 28th & 29th May 2022.
To keep people safe we are closing to traffic Henry st, Market st, Cross St and the part of Chapel St between Cross st and Market st, on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th.
Also during the parade from 11:00am on Saturday 28th May 2022 for about 30 minutes, we will close Surrey st, Glossop Brook Road, High st West and Railway st.
This means there will be lots of congestion for the weekend. So please divert around Glossop centre using Dinting road or Turnlee Road.
Temporary Bus stop will be opposite the Railway station on Norfolk st rather than Henry st 28&29 May
To accommodate attractions on display we will also be closing from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th May 2022 –
West end of B&M car park
Glossop Railway station car park
Norfolk Arms/NatWest car park.
The taxi rank outside the Norfolk remains open.
All shops and businesses remain open as usual, as does the Train station.
The bus stops on Henry st will be closed on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May 2022 and a temporarily bus stop will be used instead, just around the corner in front of the Railway station car park on Norfolk St.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. With a little forward planning we hope you are not too inconvenienced.
This long awaited festival for our town will be a welcome return of happiness after the pandemic. Please invite your family and friends to join us. If you are local, walk or cycle down if you can. If you are out of town the Glossop train stops right at the event, so why not let the train take the strain.
Thank you
The committee
